Soy un miembro de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días

Mi querido Familia,

Last week, last letter, last moments in Argentina.... and I´m kind of sad to leave. I love Argentina so much! It has been a huge blessing to have been able to serve here in Northern Argentina with all of my great companions and all of these wonderful people. I can hardly believe that it´s come to an end. Just when I´m starting to learn the things I need to, and I can understand the people, it ends!  Isn´t it always like that. :)  The Lord has a plan, we just have to have confidence in him.

The new companion of Hermana Michaud is so lucky also. She´s going to come here with three people who are (shocking) prepared to receive the Gospel and follow the example of Jesus Christ into the waters of Baptism. Fernando, Claudia, and Juana. They are so great! Fernando is awesome - he completes his commitments. If he says he is going to do something, he´s going to do it. It´s either yes or no with this guy. Awesome... Claudia, we found knocking doors. She is just super prepared. She´s the only one that doesn´t drink, or smoke, she´s trying to graduate, and isn´t living with anyone. There are about 20 people that live in her house, and she is the one that answered. It sure does tell you how the Lord knows us, and knows when we are prepared to listen to his Gospel. And Juana. She is so great. She loves the church, and yesterday, after every talk she turned to Hermana Michaud and told her how beautiful it was. :) She stayed for all three hours and just loves everything about the Church. She´s determined to be baptized on the 29th of December, and I think she´s going to make it. :)

I love this work. The Lord has blessed me so many times. He knows my weaknesses, he knows I need to get better, He Knows Me. :) He knows every single one of us. He knows what we need in the time we need it. I heard something on my mission that will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. During our trials in stead of asking 'Why me?', we need to ask 'What do I need to learn from this?' (it´s a lot easier in Spanish. en ves de preguntando Porqué, pregunta Para qué). Everyone has trials. It´s just easier with the Gospel. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the Kingdom of God on the face of the earth. He loves us, and wants everyone to know. His work will not stop until it´s done. There is an urgency in his work, and the second coming is drawing near. Let's go out and spread the Word shall we?  :) It doesn´t stop here.

I Love you all so much, and I can´t wait to see you (Kyle - I´ll see you through skype)

Love,

Hermana Erin Kaye Griffeth

Change is good... Hopefully :)

Hey Ho Familia Griffeth!

The mangoes are getting ripe, the frogs are crying, the mosquitoes are biting - It´s hotter than Hades, and Santa Clause is playing the Sax... do you know what that means?!?!  It´s CHRISTMAS TIME!!!! LOL :) yep that´s right. Weird ha? It still doesn´t feel like it, but I´m enjoying the Argentine Christmas while I'm here.
First, I will start you off with the saddest news of the whole month! President and Hermana Heyman have taken a leave of absence and have gone back to Arizona. :( There, Hermana Heyman can get the best medical attention and finish recuperating, with all the attention she needs from President. President hasn´t been released, but for now our we have a new President. Elder Di Giovanni of the Seventy will be our President until further notice. I´m really sad about this, and I´m sure that President and Hermana were really sad to leave. But, the Lord has a plan for everyone.
This week we had a baptism, most likely my last, but we´ll see how it goes. Her name is Aparisia. She´s 83 years old and went into the water and out like a champ! She was so happy, and so was her daughter. It was so great seeing all of her family there also. Her baptism was then followed by a poem from her daughter, and an Argentine Tango (church rated. :D). It was so cool to see one while I was in Argentina! So cool!
Yesterday I gave my testimony in my last testimony meeting in Argentina.... and I broke down. It started off well, and then I said that time goes by fast... and that´s where it all went wrong. It hit me really hard that it was coming to a close, and how much I love Argentina. It was super sad. But all good things have to end, but it´s always the start of other good things. :)
Other then that, the heat is going up and I´m honestly dying! We just got air conditioning in the apartment that blows air, but not cold air...l :( BUT! We are getting it fixed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Hopefully... I decided that I'm going to die when I get home. FREAKISHLY hot... to FREAKISHLY cold. I´m praying that I won´t get a cold sore.
Well, I'm going to let you all go now. I love you so much, and I pray for you all every day! I love this Gospel so much. and I know it´s true. I´m so grateful for it everyday... :D
Love you all!
Love love love

A Wet Thanksgiving

Sup mi Familia?!

First off, happy VERY late Thanksgiving!! We were able to make a very Argentine apple pie.  By Argentine, I mean using only the ingredients that Argentina has. They don't have shortening - I substituted butter. And they don't have brown sugar, I substituted dulce de leche mixed with sugar, and you know what? Turned out GREAT! Very thanksgiving-y and we ate it with some crema americana ice cream. The closest I could get, and it turned out a lot better then last year. :) We shared it with one of our members who was helping us out for the day. It was RICISIMO! yum.... :) I wish I could have had turkey (SUPER EXPENSIVE HERE), but all is well. It looks like you guys all had a great Thanksgiving.

OH, before I forget, did you pick names for Christmas? Let me know who I got and what that person wants. :)

We have a baptism this week. Aparícia. She's a little old lady. It's the mom of a member in our Ward. Our member has been the only member in her family for about 15 years, and with a lot of praying, her mother has accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I´m so happy for them. It's going to be a super great experience for all of them. It's true that the Lord answers our prayers in his time... not in ours. But, he knows what he is doing. What a blessing!

We have been working a ton this past week, and we have a lot of plans for this week. I can't believe how fast time is flying.  I don't have a lot more time to share the truth of the Gospel with the people here. Hopefully all will go well this week.

Sorry it's short, but I love this Gospel so much. And I love that I can share it with the people here. It's all true. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. He is a prophet of God. And his church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Love you all so much.

Now we need to explain....

Hola Familia!
I can´t believe that it's getting so close to the end. This will be my fourth to last letter and I´m kind of really sad about that. I´m also starting to panic about everything I need to buy, HINT, and what I need to do. I can't believe it. So WEIRD!
The days are starting to mix together and I can't remember what happened... honestly, no Idea. But I will try.
Yesterday one of our investigators brought her husband with her to church! PROGRESS! That is so good! We were worried that she wouldn't come, and that her husband wasn't going to accept her coming - then she surprised us by bringing her husband with her. lol :) Yesterday was a good day. Also, yesterday I realized just how special our members are. One just went off on the priesthood (spoke passionately).  She started telling the husband of our investigator (FROM THE PULPIT) that she could see him as a strong priesthood holder for the family, that they will all receive the blessing of that in their home, and all that. Now, to give you a little information about the husband of our investigator, he has never listened to ONE lesson... so I´m sure he was confused. BUT, it's all true what she said - so will just have to explain it next time we pass by. lol :)
Last Pday we caught up on our Argentina collection of clothing, as you can clearly tell from the photo, I'm hoping to get some sweet socks like Hermana Michaud also. We'll see. Well, sorry this is short - seriously, nothing much more happened. I'll let you know more next week. I love you all so much, and I'm grateful for the knowledge the Gospel gives me. Be smart, be Safe, trust in the lord.
Love Love Love,

Answers all around!

Hola Familia!

What a week. Seriously. It has been an amazing week here in Corrientes.  Hermana Michaud and I are working a ton!

This week we had Zone Conference with Elder Viñas of the Area Presidency. Man, how awesome it was! We were all told to prepare a five minute talk on the Atonement. Then, when we got there, he asked us to share what we learned about the Atonement. Then I learned about Grace, through D&C 50: 40-42.
40 Behold, ye are little children and ye cannot abear all things now; ye must bgrow in cgrace and in the knowledge of the truth.
 41 aFear not, little bchildren, for you are mine, and I havecovercome the world, and you are of them that my Father hathdgiven me;
42 And none of them that my Father hath given me shall be alost.
One of my favorite scriptures in the mission. I feel so much love when I read it. And I never realized what Grace really meant. I would like to give you guys a chance to study it for yourselves. What is grace, and why is it so important in the Atonement of Christ?

Since we are on the last part of our missions (this is the second to last transfer of Hermana Michaud) we have decided to purify ourselves. We are trying to get rid of anything that is going to get rid of the Spirit. That means thinking about home also. :( It's super hard, but we have seen the fruits of this process in many different ways.

We have been working with a less active member here. Let's call him Joe. Joe here has a freakishly strong testimony. He is the only member of his family,  (right now we are working with his mom and dad.) and loves to work with the missionaries. What happened with Joe you ask? About five or six months ago, Joe wanted to serve a mission. He talked with the District President and was told that he should instead look for a wife. Now Joe, respecting the leaders, said OK. But, he lost a lot of drive (ganas/animo for Kyle, it explains it better I think). So he stopped coming to church. But last week he started coming again. And, happily, the members were super supportive and he felt right at home. But, right now, Joe's problem is that he is not paying his tithing. He has a really hard situation at home and he finds it hard to pay his tithing when it could help his family. Now the missionaries before have talked about this millions of times with him - all the blessings he could have received. He started praying for an answer. Well, on Saturday we went to pick him up (he was going to go with us to some appointments) and we started talking. The theme of tithing came up. He explained to us the problem - how he is a realist, and is looking at all the worldly needs. I honestly don't know how we got to this point, but you could feel the Spirit super strong, and I started talking. Words were coming out of my mouth as they popped into my mind.  I told him that the world's view is realistic. That the world doesn't believe in the miracles, that the world doesn't believe in all the commandments, that we need to become as little children and try to get rid of our pride. We have to try him (God) ... He's willing to give us the blessings, if we are willing to use our faith.
Let me tell you, I've never felt the Spirit so strong. And I know that he felt it also, because he's going to start paying his tithing. :D What an experience.

Last night, we were walking to make an appointment with one of our investigators, when we passed a young woman sitting against a wall. We said "Hi", and we noticed that she was crying. We went a couple more steps before we realized we should turn back. We asked her if everything was alright and, like everybody does, she told us she was fine. So we, of course, sat down right next to her, and she started telling us everything. She's in her mid 20's and lives with her husband, three year old, and mom (whose a little crazy). Her three year old is still in her terrible stage and her mom just doesn't want to talk to her.  It was the last straw. She left, and was sitting there contemplating suicide when we passed by. We started sharing with her the Gospel and the peace we can have in our lives with our families through it. We then walked her to her house, and met her husband and daughter, and told her we would pass by later that week. She's great, but looks like has some depression issues. But, if there is one thing I know, the Gospel helps every type of problem.

I can see the blessings of the Gospel everyday here. He puts us missionaries and members in the path of his children, to bless them, be cause we know his gospel. The Lord wants us to be happy, he wants to give us his blessings. We just have to be willing to follow and obey him. That's that hard part. :) lol! But, he loves us. What great comfort I have in that. That's why I love that scripture so much in D&C 50: 40-42.  We are his little children, and we need him everyday of our lives.  Jesus has overcome the world for us, and if we follow him, we will not be lost. :) This Gospel is true. And I'm positive when all is said and done, I can be with my family forever. What a blessing :)  Be smart, be Safe, Trust in the Lord.

Una Chica de la Cuidad.

Sup mi familia!

WOW, What a week!  To start out with, and I´m sure you're all waiting for it, Yes, I FINALLY GOT TRANSFERRED! BOOYA! And I´m super stoked because now I have had an area in every part of our mission (minus Santa Fe, there are no sisters in that area). And, a fresh start to the end of my mission. I am in Corrientes Capital. The area is called Costanera. Which means that I am a city girl. We have center in our area and the costanera.  So basically, it´s the same area I just had, but flat ground and not a lot of plants.  I'm stoked. My companion's name is Hermana Michaud. She´s from Arizona. This is her second to last transfer so we are a working pair. She's hard core, seriously. I haven´t worked this hard in all of my mission. It´s a good way to end. It makes me think of training and how much I didn't teach Hermana Rejas. I feel really bad... but her new companion is awesome, and will fix everything.  The members here are capisimo! They are so cool. I love them already. Really great. I haven´t found one fault in this area. Yet... :)

When I got here to Corrientes, I couldn't find my ticket, which had all the stickers on the back that said which suitcase is mine. So we had to wait like two hours for the bus to return so that I could get my suitcases. It was pretty funny. Por suerte, we didn't have any appointments. My bags were so heavy. I´m surprised I didn't hurt my back. and when I got here, my companion told me that we live on the 6th floor. Imagine my surprise and thoughts when she told me that. I had three VERY heavy suitcases, a nativity, two side bags, and my rain boots. Let´s just say I was not looking forward to it. But my companion then took pity on me and told me that we had an elevator. I was SUPER excited for that! lol What an adventure that would be. :)

Wow, sorry just realized I don´t have much time. I´m trying to get used to the area. And my companion (she walks SUPER fast. Just what I need to loose those few extra pounds.). It´s pretty hot here. And, this is just the beginning of November. I´m going to be dying in December. But I don´t have to worry about that for long. :)

Not much has happened and I don´t have any pictures, forgot my cord. Next week. Sorry, seriously, super short letter. I´ll hopefully write more next week.

Love you all so much. I know this Gospel is true. I love it with all of my heart. And, I´m growing every day through the scriptures, and prayer. Be smart, be Safe, Trust in the Lord.

How I know Heavenly Father does answer prayers. :)

Hey Ho FAMILIA!

What a week... the number one thing on my list, I'M ALL DONE WITH
BRONCHITIS!  After seven days of antibiotics, and coughing everything out of
my body, all is well. Woot woot, a very small cough, but that´s
nothing.

The next health issue I have. GOT A COLD SORE: BLAH! And this is how I
know that Heavenly Father really does answer prayers. :) Last Monday,
I was reading Lisa´s letter to me, telling me that she had gotten a cold
sore. Well, I started thinking that the last time I got a cold sore
was in the MTC and I was very surprised that I hadn´t gotten one
since. I said a little prayer, asking Heavenly Father if he would be
merciful and not give me one - but if I needed to get one, to give it
to me sooner rather the later. (It really sucks to deal with a cold
sore in SUPER HOT heat) So, he gave it to me that night. :P lol So,
I´ve had a cold sore for almost a week now. It´s almost gone and
doesn´t hurt any more. Thank goodness. Nobody here knows what a cold
sore is. Apparently they don´t get them often. And they don´t have a
common name for it. So I´ve just been calling it a virus. They seem
to get that.

Happy Halloween!

Other then that - This week has been raining like crazy with a freaking
ton of Storms. We´ve been soaked through and had to return home several times
to change. We´re trying to work a ton right before transfers and
that seems to occupy our minds also. So, ya.

This week we got a new investigator. He has a LOT of issues. Mainly
with the law of chasity and the Word of Wisdom. And they aren´t small.
They are pretty big problems. But at least he is the one
who realized it. He found the elders and said that he wanted help, and
that he wanted to be happy. So we got through this week. It´s going to
take a lot of work, and we don't know how willing he is to change.
We´ll see.

Well, got to head. Nothing much more this week. Working a full day.
I´ll let you know if there are any changes.... or if there aren´t. :P

I love this Gospel. It´s true. Heavenly Father and Jesus love us. Be
smart, Be Safe, Trust in the Lord.

Check out what happened to us on the 26th. It was crazy. The hardest rainfall I´ve EVER seen. It destroyed roofs here. Crazy. This first photo is of Posadas that morning. The second is a comparison. Que Kapo ha?

Twins! Talks! and Splits!

SUP SUP MI FAMILIA!

Well, to start it all off, I'm getting better! Yeah! I was so sick and tired a couple of days back that I had to stay inside. That was when I was sick with this stupid cough and I called the doctor. Looks like Kyle and I are TWINS! Bronchitis... BOO. But, I got some antibiotics and now it's almost gone. I feel a ton better also.

Mom, Happy Argentine Mothers Day! lol :) It's the only country that I know of where Mothers Day is not in May. And, because my companion is from Argentina, she got to call her family yesterday. Que suerte si? But, I will be talking to you guys in person in less then two months. So I'm not to worried about it.. ;)

Last Tuesday and Wednesday we had splits. I stayed here while Hermana Rejas went to Lavalle with Hermana Shoaf. So Hermana Blatter and I were able to get a lot done here in Central. It was super fun. Sometimes I don't realize how much I miss speaking English until I have a North American companion. It was nice to say the least.

Friday, there was a fireside for all of South America South, for the Young adults, given by Elder Oaks. So naturally we wanted to bring one of our investigators so she could:  first, get to know an apostle of the Lord, and second, so she could make some friends. The first part happened, but the second.. not so much. Including my companion and I, and our investigator and her boyfriend, there were seven young adults!  I was so surprised that there weren't a lot of people. But she liked it, and so did her Boyfriend, so it was a little less embarrassing. But still....

Saturday we got to listen to the Relief Society Conference talks. They don't show them until super later here. They were really good, and I loved all of them. Would have been even better in English (Because I'm still trying to understand everything), but they were still great. I love President Eyring. His talks are always uplifting. And this new Relief Society presidency is going to be awesome.

Well, I wish there was more happening here. We have transfers next week (31st, Halloween) So we will find out what happens then. We had the interviews with President this week. He asked if I would like to stay or go for my last transfer. I told him that although I love Posadas, it would be nice to have a change. Then he told me that he'll see what the Lord decides. So, If I'm not finished with my work here, I'll be here my last transfer (which would be 11 months all together) , or I just might be transferred to another area for only six weeks. We'll find out.... you never know what the Lord has in store for you. Tenga confianza no mas...  :)

Well, I'm going to let you guys go. But I want you all to know how much this Gospel has affected my life. The Lord has given me so much, and I'm grateful for it everyday of my life. This Gospel, this Church is the Lord's kingdom on the earth today. We have the chance to be a part of it - and to accept it. This is his true Gospel, his Church. He's given us guides here on the earth - Prophets, apostles, bishops, teachers, the Holy Ghost, and the Book of Mormon. Use them. I know it's true. Be smart, Be safe, Trust in the Lord.

Not a whole lot to say...

Random photo. Enjoy!

Well family,
It is now officially less then two months... How weird is that? I Honestly can't believe it. Kyle, It truly does fly by.
As I was telling you from last week, my sickness did continue. I was stuck indoors until Thursday. But, I'm getting better. All I have is my cough left over and then I will be all better. yeah!
This week we had one of our investigators bring her boyfriend with her to church. It was awesome. We are super stoked and hoping to get her started with institute. She accepted a baptismal date for the 3rd of November so hopefully she'll be able to keep going. I'm hoping - she's great!
This week we have interviews with President, threw Skype. WEIRD Huh?
I'm super jealous that you guys can carve pumpkins. There are no pumpkins here, so I've voted that we just carve squash (which is what we did last year) I'll send pics if we end up doing something.
Well, as you can clearly tell, nothing really happened this week. Being stuck indoors without a computer does not help with writing letters. Sorry. But I'm stoked to keep working this week, and see what the Lord has in store for me. We are here to do his work, all of us. Pray for the opportunities to share the Gospel. Alma 6:6. I love this Gospel so much. I'm glad that I was called to serve here in Argentina. It's true. Be smart, be Safe, Trust in the Lord.

A bad Equation and Christmas for Missionaries!

Hey familia,
First off... Feliz Cumpleaños MAMÁ! (did you get my letter?) This year has passed by fast. It´s almost Halloween again, then Thanksgiving, and then I´m home... let´s not think about that. :)

My birthday when great. Saturday, the Hermanas of Lavalle (sister Bladder and sister Shoaf) threw a five minute surprise party (that is the photo with the hat, and the Feliz cumpleaños sign) They also gave me a card with about 60 scriptures, the line and the word that I was supposed to find. lol :) It was my secret message birthday card. It was super nice of them. On my birthday, Family Amutio made me the chocolate cake with strawberries. Tasted like a giant brownie. And family Vergara made me the giant vanilla cake with a sour cream, whipped cream frosting. It was fantastic.
What a week. Oh, how I love Conference!
(the photo is from the gringo room)  It´s like Christmas for missionaries, and, like Christmas, it always goes by so fast. I can´t believe it´s over... I also couldn´t believe that it had already been six  months.... Weird. I loved all the talks, especially 'ask the missionaries' and of course, Elder Holland. If you guys recorded Conference, I would ask that you don´t delete it, mainly because I wasn´t paying much attention this conference, and let me explain why. It all has to do with this little equation that I learned Sunday:
FEVER - WATER = A collapsed sister missionary, with three other sister missionaries helping her, while about ten Elders watch like deer in headlights...
Well, if you haven´t guessed, I´m that sister missionary. Yeah!  First time it´s ever happened, and it was super weird, and kind of exciting, but, REALLY embarrassing. :P Here in Posadas, the weather has been changing every 10 seconds, HOT and then cold. so basically, everyone is sick. It doesn´t help that we visit everyone. So, somewhere along the line I got the bug. Saturday during sessions, I wasn´t feeling my best.  I was feeling a little hot, and just wanted to go home and sleep it off. Apparently, at this point, it was the very start of the most dreaded fever. Saturday night it spiked to 102.4.  That is when I decided to take Tylenol (my last 2) to bring down my fever. Totally worked. :) Love meds. But Sunday morning, I apparently wasn´t thinking too clearly. I woke up, called the area doctor (told me I had to drink lots of water and take some pills), took a hot shower (stupid idea if you have a fever), took a Dayquil, some juice and slept a little. The MOST IMPORTANT thing I forgot to do... Water. I FORGOT TO DRINK WATER! STUPID STUPID STUPID! Well, anyway, I was determined to go to Conference. So we headed out the door. I was feeling a little light headed, but I didn´t think that it would make a difference. That was until we were waiting for the bus. As we were waiting for the bus, I was not feeling well. I had to sit down on a small patch of grass and I laid on my backpack. That´s when I told Hermana Rejas to just call a taxi. After a couple of minutes a taxi came and took us to the Church. When we got there, I felt like I wanted to vomit! It was terrible. I was sweating like crazy and the world was spinning all around me. I started walking to the church, but had to stop. That is when Hermana Rejas saw the seriousness of the situation and ran to get the other Hermanas. (Now is where you can see the Lord's hand helping me out) Right when they got to my side, my entire body collapsed - INCLUDING MY EYE LIDS! I´ve never had that happen. They kept asking me if I could hear them. In my head I was like, ¨of course I can hear you¨, but then I realized I should probably say it out loud. So, after I responded, they took me inside where I refused to walk anymore because the ground was cold and it felt GREAT! I didn´t want to move from that spot. I didn´t care if there was about 15 people watching. But they next moved me to the closest room, where I laid on the floor for about five minutes while I heard my zone leader talking with the area doctor. Who told him I was SUPER dehydrated and needed water. That´s when my companion and the two other Hermanas pumped me full of about 2 or 3 water bottles. After about 15 minutes of just sitting there, talking and drinking water (what I should have been doing in the first place), the Zone Leaders were nice enough to give me a blessing. I´m feeling MUCH better. :)

This all happened during Elder Eyring's talk, and then It took me a couple of other talks to recuperate and start taking notes. As you can tell, the words of the Lord are very important to me that I´m will to risk my health. haha :)
I stayed in yesterday to recuperate, and it looks like I´m going to have to do it again. The doctor told me this should last until Friday. We´ll find out. But all is well. lol I don´t know how long my companion can stay in the apartment and stay sane, but all is well. :)
I love you guys so much. The Lord is looking out for everyone of you. What a blessing it is to be here serving the people, even when I´m sick. :) lol I love you guys so much. I love this Gospel. I¨m grateful for it everyday of my life, and there are so many more people waiting to hear it.
Be smart (drink water), be safe, and trust in the Lord.

Break it down with a little bit of service

Hey, Familia!

Thanks for all of the Birthday wishes! Before I forget, yes mom, I did
get your package... LAST TUESDAY, and I´ve had to hide it from my
sight.  Everyone is still amazed that I haven´t opened my package yet.
You should be proud.

This week was one for the books. It was not my best week, let´s put
it that way. I don't think this week went as well as I wanted.  As
a sister missionary, we have high expectations for ourselves, and eventually we
hit a moment where the simplest things will make us snap. My
¨cherry on top¨ was having to knock doors, again. It was Wednesday
morning and It hit me pretty hard, and I kind of had a break down.
It's not my best moment, but it
happened. And then I had to shake off my pride and call the zone
leaders to get a little animo (excitement)...  And then 2 days later,
my companion
followed my example, and broke down also. At that moment, I didn't know
what to do... I sat her down, and used the only thing that came to my
mind, Preguntas Inspiradas (inspired questions). haha... They even
help in times of crisis. :)  We had a good talk, and now, she looks
like she's feeling better.
Still tired, but better. :)

This week my goal is to make it the best week possible, numbers and
all. Hopefully it will help, and with Conference, I'm positive this
week is going to lift her spirits. Also, we've got a day full of cake
on Wednesday, that should help
also. Love the members!

Saturday, we also had my very first BIG service activity. It was
supposed to involve the entire Stake. So naturally, all of the
missionaries showed up, our Stake President, and two other people from
the Stake. But it was really fun. I´ve sent some pictures.

Other then that, all is well here in Posadas. I´m super stoked for
Conference, it one of my favorite things on the Mission. There are so
many inspired talks just for us. Can´t wait!

Love you tonz. The Church is true, and The Book of Mormon is Blue...

A little bit of wind, rain, and a whole lot of the same. :)

Well family,

It´s been a crazy hectic week to say the least.  Let´s start out with what you are all anxiously waiting to know... I´m still in Posadas.... ROQUE SÁENZ PEÑA BABY! The missionary has seen her shadow and we are going to have six more weeks of hot weather, walking and knocking doors - in the same area!  Oh, the joy that it brings me.

The day before transfers was crazy. We had just left a house of one of our investigators. We were walking through Center and a huge wind storm hit. It was so big, it started picking up the dust and throwing it into our eyes. IT HURT LIKE A BEAST! We ducked into a store to get out all the dust and that is when the lights cut, and the hail started. This hail quickly turned into the biggest rain storm I've seen in all of my time in Posadas. The girls in the store looked so scared... and us.. well, we had to get back to our apartment. So we asked for a couple of plastic bags to put our scriptures in, and we headed out!. What a blast it was too. Soaked from head to toe.  The Lord was watching over us, because the next day we saw trees that had been ripped out of the ground. and so many branches from trees, signs from businesses - the works.  Brilliant.  BUT, I know the Lord has a plan for me here. I´ve just got to work my socks off to find it.  He´s already given me an insight to one of the reasons I´m still here, which brings me to our next topic....

This week one of our recent converts just returned from Buenos Aires. She's been there since July with her husband. The hospital he needed for his health is there. But, turns out, that after a long battle, he passed away to be with his daughter and parents.

We didn´t even find out until a week later. One of our members told us over lunch. We then went straight from there to the house of her son to see if he had any news like when the funeral was to be held, or when his mom was getting back into town. Luckily, his mom was there when we arrived. When she saw us she gave us the biggest hugs. She then continued to tell us what had happened with her husband, how it all ended, and how she is sad that they weren´t able to get sealed while he was alive - but that she knows she can still be sealed to him. She has such a great spirit.  I´m so blessed to know her.

Well, other then that, we are still working as hard as we can. We have six more weeks filled with splits, General Conference, baptisms and Halloween. It´s going to be a blast. We´ve already got some stuff planned. I¨ll let you know more as the time get´s closer.

I know this Gospel is true. I´m here for a reason. I love Argentina, and I´ll be sad to leave it in three months. The Church is true. Prayer is Powerful, and The Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. Be smart, Be safe, Trust in the lord.

Love you all,
