Sup mi Familia?!
First off, happy VERY late Thanksgiving!! We were able to make a very Argentine apple pie. By Argentine, I mean using only the ingredients that Argentina has. They don't have shortening - I substituted butter. And they don't have brown sugar, I substituted dulce de leche mixed with sugar, and you know what? Turned out GREAT! Very thanksgiving-y and we ate it with some crema americana ice cream. The closest I could get, and it turned out a lot better then last year. :) We shared it with one of our members who was helping us out for the day. It was RICISIMO! yum.... :) I wish I could have had turkey (SUPER EXPENSIVE HERE), but all is well. It looks like you guys all had a great Thanksgiving.
OH, before I forget, did you pick names for Christmas? Let me know who I got and what that person wants. :)
We have a baptism this week. Aparícia. She's a little old lady. It's the mom of a member in our Ward. Our member has been the only member in her family for about 15 years, and with a lot of praying, her mother has accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I´m so happy for them. It's going to be a super great experience for all of them. It's true that the Lord answers our prayers in his time... not in ours. But, he knows what he is doing. What a blessing!
We have been working a ton this past week, and we have a lot of plans for this week. I can't believe how fast time is flying. I don't have a lot more time to share the truth of the Gospel with the people here. Hopefully all will go well this week.
Sorry it's short, but I love this Gospel so much. And I love that I can share it with the people here. It's all true. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. He is a prophet of God. And his church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Love you all so much.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
