Things here are going grand. We gained a new companion for a couple of days. Until transfers... which are on Wednesday. Hermana Schmidt. They had an early transfer and her companion was sent to Resistencia. So she is here with us. She goes home in a couple of months. She´s 25, really cool and from Texas. She was Hermana Mederos second companion - they were together for 4 months. Hermana Medero is super excited.
The other day I was walking with my companion at night and I saw fireflies! I was so excited. I can´t even begin to tell you. I¨ve never seen them in person before and there were a lot. It was so cool!
We have awesome investigators. I don´t know if I have told you about them yet. But we have Francisco y Fransisca. He is 76 and she is 67 I believe. They have been together for 52 years, have 13 kids... and have never been married. :) We started teaching Fransica and she agreed with all of us. That sunday they came to church and the Bishop gave a talk on eternal families. After, at our next appointment, she told us she wanted to get married to have eternal families. I believe they get married on the 15th, and their baptism is the 17th. I´m so excited for them.
Then we have Diego. He is freakishly tall for an Argentinian and is 22. Everytime we teach him and ask him questions I feel like he is teaching us. He comes to church every Sunday, and is supporting his friends in their baptisms. He is going to institute. I swear, he is the perfect investigator. I´m so stoked for his baptism.
Dad was telling me about the little kids testimonies in church and...I want to tell you guys about Juan. Juan is 11 years old. He was baptised about 8 or 9 months ago along with his brother Luis (our mission leader), and his other brother Lucas. His mom and dad aren´t members, but they want to be - they come to church every Sunday. I´ll tell you their story later. Anyway, Juan is AWESOME. Yesterday at Testimony meeting, he promised our 15 investigators who were at church yesterday, that if they prayed, they would know the truth. SUPER POWERFUL. He also practices talking to everyone and goes door to door and just talks with people. He´s starting to save for a mission. This kid is going to be one awesome missionary. I tell you. Love this kid.
Nothing much more happening here. I believe my spanish is expanding, and my understanding of the language. I know what they are talking about, but not exactly what they say. Like, I know they are talking about faith, but I don´t know what they believe or what kind of faith they have. It´s hard, but all I can do is try and after that... The Lord will help me. I´m so grateful to have the gospel in my life.
I love you all so much, Be Safe!
