Time flies!

Hey yo Familia de mio!

How is everything going there at home? I can´t believe how fast
February has past. We are almost in March. About to have our stake
conference, which means that General Conference is soon. How weird is
that? This will be my 2nd conference in the mission, and I´m stoked to
listen to all the talks, IN ENGLISH! Yeah!  It´s amazing how much more
you love conference when deprived of English for 9-10
months. :) Just wait Babe... :)

Our investigators are great. Julio is going to be baptized next
Saturday... POR FIN! - we hope. We also have Antonio, who loves
everything there is about the Bible, and is like a giddy little boy
when you teach him the Gospel. :) We are now just trying to get him to
pray and ask if it´s true. Merlisa has a lot of doubts, but she knows
this is the only thing that can help her with her problems and issues.
So, she has a baptism date for the 10th, but we´ll see how that goes.
I´m praying for all of them.

I think that´s it for this week. OH! I´m still in Posadas with
Hna López. So, ya, all is the same!

Be strong, be safe, be smart, trust in the lord, and Follow the
Commandments! LÖL yep.

love love love

9 Months Baby!!

It´s coming up!!! I have transfers this week.... again! I can´t
believe how fast time flies, and it´s going by even faster... drum roll... My nine-month mark is Saturday!!!! That´s
right, Half way!!! How weird! I can´t believe it, I only have nine-ish
more months to be a missionary. Oh wow... odd...
We have no Idea what is going to happen. We think we are going to
stay together as companions, but how many times have I said that and
we switch? So... vamos a ver. We´re going to see. (Learn that phrase
Kyle - you´ll use it a lot)
Unfortunately this week..I broke my only watch (somebody stole
my other two). Fortunately, I bought a new one!  Unfortunately, it
stopped working the next day, Fortunately, we decided to go and get it
exchanged for a new one. Unfortunately, today is a holiday, and the store was
closed. Yep... so I have to wait for next week. ;(
I had my second talk yesterday in Sacrament meeting. Failed miserably,
but all is well. My companion, lol she gave the bajar la caña (chastising) talk of
a life time... you could hear a pin drop. It was about members being
member missionaries... and every single person had their head down...
I was so shocked... The part that made it even more of a bajar la caña
is the fact that when Hermana Lopez teaches, she doesn´t smile. She´s very
serious about what she is talking about. So... ya, it was a little
painful to listen to. But we had an awesome member unite our
talks to kind of soften the blow.  We´ll see how that goes.
So, I´ve been re-reading the Book of Mormon (Mom told me about the
challenge Dad gave the Ward, and I´m set on doing it.). I just
finished Alma, and I don´t know why people have a problem with that chapter.
They say it´s all about the wars (true, a lot of wars are
in the book of Alma) but it´s only about 10 chapters, and the rest is
all about missionary work. It´s awesome! And, there is so much we can
learn from the wars. I loved it! I´m having a blast reading it, and
I´m getting a whole lot of information. My suggestion for
all of you, especially Kyle: Read the book of Mormon again.
Set a goal to highlight key phrases, scriptures or something like that. Try
marking how many times it tells us to keep the commandments... I´ll
tell you, it´s a lot! Love it, read it, enjoy it. :)
All it well here, trying our hardest get more investigators, but it
seams that the more we try to get investigators, the more inactive
members we have... it´s weird, but they need our help as well. Maybe our
work here is to work with inactive members, not find investigators.
Well find out.
Thank you for your prayers everyday, your support, and your letters. I
love hearing about your adventures, your stories, and everything else.
I would love to hear from everyone. So... if you could. please do. :)
as Nephi said through his example, I will go I will do... ;)
I love you all so much. I love this gospel with all my heart. This is
the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the only way we can have eternal life. The
only way to true happiness. Be strong, be safe, trust in the Lord.

Chile!!!

Oh family of mine.
Happy Valentine's day!! ¡Feliz Dia de San Valentin!
Wow, Kyles going to Chile! I can hardly believe it. Viña del Mar (vineyard of the sea). How Awesome! And, he heads into the MTC on the 18th of April, that is so FAST! I highly suggest starting to study those red books I sent to Lisa, to start learning you Spanish words, because it´s what you are going to use in the MTC. Also, buy some ties at DI. I know it´s a little cheap, but, the Elders in the MTC love to switch up the ties, and they love the ugly ones. So, if you get some cool ugly ties, you can change them for some pretty nice ties. Weird, but it´s a fact.
We had the Baptism of SONJA!!! Woot woot! I sent a picture! It was awesome, and even more exciting news, Which is hard to believe because Sonja was baptised and confirmed (but there was no doubt that it wouldn´t happen), is all about her brother Allen.  Allen is about 26. He is a returned missionary. He has been inactive now for a couple of years and living with his girlfriend. Our appointments with Sonya have been with him as the member. So we have been teaching Sonja and also trying to teach him at the same time without actually teaching him. We didn´t know he had listened.  That is, until we talked to him on Saturday. While we were preparing the decorations and stuff, he told us that he and his girl friend separated (He moved out, but they're still together), and that she would like to listen to the lessons!!! WE ARE SUPER EXCITED!!!
We have been working with inactive members this week. trying to help them come back to church. We talked to one sister who hasn´t been to church in like 15 years because church was too long. She only likes the 1 hour churches... That is all. I was super close to being like, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!"? But, we are hoping to help reactivate her.  :¨^(
We had zone conference yesterday. It was nice, but the power kept cutting out. So we didn´t have much air conditioning during that time.  Poor elders - they were wearing their suits. But it was nice to see everyone.
Bueno. I have to head - I´m over my time. But I love you all so much. I pray for you all daily. Know that the lord knows you better then you do (Kyle). :) He loves us all more then we will ever know.
Love you,

HEY HEY HEY!

A dream come true!

We have a baptism this week! Woot Woot! Her name is Sonya (sonja). She´s 13 and is a sister of one of our members. Super excited for her. And she´ll be an awesome sister missionary if she chooses to go on a mission.

Kyle, I´m super excited to hear where you're going, even more excited to hear from you. But, still excited! Spanish, Spanish, Spanish! :) I can´t remember what you said about where you wanted to go? I think you said Europe... but I´m not sure. Also, can anyone remember where I guessed? My memory is terrible. So ya. Let me know if you remember.

Mom Dad, I hope everything is going well in Washington. Hoping you're having a semi stress-less week. I want to know how it goes. Dad, don´t let Mom buy up the whole antique show. :D Love you Mom! Also, I'm super excited to see how the shop turns out. I´m hoping it will be all done by the time I get home. Crossing my fingers!

Before I forget. I know this is really soon. But, I´m living in the
city right now, and it´s the best place to get souvenirs... so... What
do you guys want? Like what kind of things? Wood carvings? Paintings
on wood? A Maté glass? Shoes? Christmas stuff... I don´t know. But let
me know what you would like so I can start looking for it. Thanks!

Also, Found out something cool last night that I didn´t know. We have
Bats here! it´s so weirdly cool! We were walking in central last
night and there were like 6 bats flying around. My companion  started
to freak out. It was pretty funny. But ya, something cool about
Posadas. Bats!

Also, another thing before I forget. I will be writing late next week.
Maybe Tuesday. We have Zone Conference and they decided to do it on
our Pday. So, ya. I´ll write to you then. So don´t panic.

So ya. Update on our Other progressing investigator. Julio. He´s keeping
the law of Chastity!! Woot woot!  Also, he quit drinking. And right now he
is on the verge of quitting smoking. I´m rooting/praying for him.
Vamos a ver. He has a baptism date for the 18th.

Well, not much more is happening here. We have transfers in 2 weeks.
That´s so fast. Pretty soon it will be conference, mothers day,
conference and then I´ll be home! Weird!!! Got to get to work.

I love you all so much. I love to hear every week how things are
going and what you are up to. I pray for you guys all the time. Know
that the Lord loves you and is rooting for you. Be strong, be safe, be
smart, and trust in the Lord in all your dealings.

Love you!!
