Soy un miembro de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días

Mi querido Familia,

Last week, last letter, last moments in Argentina.... and I´m kind of sad to leave. I love Argentina so much! It has been a huge blessing to have been able to serve here in Northern Argentina with all of my great companions and all of these wonderful people. I can hardly believe that it´s come to an end. Just when I´m starting to learn the things I need to, and I can understand the people, it ends!  Isn´t it always like that. :)  The Lord has a plan, we just have to have confidence in him.

The new companion of Hermana Michaud is so lucky also. She´s going to come here with three people who are (shocking) prepared to receive the Gospel and follow the example of Jesus Christ into the waters of Baptism. Fernando, Claudia, and Juana. They are so great! Fernando is awesome - he completes his commitments. If he says he is going to do something, he´s going to do it. It´s either yes or no with this guy. Awesome... Claudia, we found knocking doors. She is just super prepared. She´s the only one that doesn´t drink, or smoke, she´s trying to graduate, and isn´t living with anyone. There are about 20 people that live in her house, and she is the one that answered. It sure does tell you how the Lord knows us, and knows when we are prepared to listen to his Gospel. And Juana. She is so great. She loves the church, and yesterday, after every talk she turned to Hermana Michaud and told her how beautiful it was. :) She stayed for all three hours and just loves everything about the Church. She´s determined to be baptized on the 29th of December, and I think she´s going to make it. :)

I love this work. The Lord has blessed me so many times. He knows my weaknesses, he knows I need to get better, He Knows Me. :) He knows every single one of us. He knows what we need in the time we need it. I heard something on my mission that will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. During our trials in stead of asking 'Why me?', we need to ask 'What do I need to learn from this?' (it´s a lot easier in Spanish. en ves de preguntando Porqué, pregunta Para qué). Everyone has trials. It´s just easier with the Gospel. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the Kingdom of God on the face of the earth. He loves us, and wants everyone to know. His work will not stop until it´s done. There is an urgency in his work, and the second coming is drawing near. Let's go out and spread the Word shall we?  :) It doesn´t stop here.

I Love you all so much, and I can´t wait to see you (Kyle - I´ll see you through skype)

Love,

Hermana Erin Kaye Griffeth

Change is good... Hopefully :)

Hey Ho Familia Griffeth!

The mangoes are getting ripe, the frogs are crying, the mosquitoes are biting - It´s hotter than Hades, and Santa Clause is playing the Sax... do you know what that means?!?!  It´s CHRISTMAS TIME!!!! LOL :) yep that´s right. Weird ha? It still doesn´t feel like it, but I´m enjoying the Argentine Christmas while I'm here.
First, I will start you off with the saddest news of the whole month! President and Hermana Heyman have taken a leave of absence and have gone back to Arizona. :( There, Hermana Heyman can get the best medical attention and finish recuperating, with all the attention she needs from President. President hasn´t been released, but for now our we have a new President. Elder Di Giovanni of the Seventy will be our President until further notice. I´m really sad about this, and I´m sure that President and Hermana were really sad to leave. But, the Lord has a plan for everyone.
This week we had a baptism, most likely my last, but we´ll see how it goes. Her name is Aparisia. She´s 83 years old and went into the water and out like a champ! She was so happy, and so was her daughter. It was so great seeing all of her family there also. Her baptism was then followed by a poem from her daughter, and an Argentine Tango (church rated. :D). It was so cool to see one while I was in Argentina! So cool!
Yesterday I gave my testimony in my last testimony meeting in Argentina.... and I broke down. It started off well, and then I said that time goes by fast... and that´s where it all went wrong. It hit me really hard that it was coming to a close, and how much I love Argentina. It was super sad. But all good things have to end, but it´s always the start of other good things. :)
Other then that, the heat is going up and I´m honestly dying! We just got air conditioning in the apartment that blows air, but not cold air...l :( BUT! We are getting it fixed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Hopefully... I decided that I'm going to die when I get home. FREAKISHLY hot... to FREAKISHLY cold. I´m praying that I won´t get a cold sore.
Well, I'm going to let you all go now. I love you so much, and I pray for you all every day! I love this Gospel so much. and I know it´s true. I´m so grateful for it everyday... :D
Love you all!
Love love love
